Sportium is a brand created in 2007 by Cirsa and Ladbrokes. Cirsa (owned by Blackstone) recently bought the 50% share from Ladbrokes and now owns the brand entirely. Cirsa is a multinational gaming and leisure company, present in Spain, Morocco and Latin America, with more than 40 years of experience in the sector. In 2012 Sportium obtained the license to operate in Spain. By having a large presence of physical stores, it has become a well known brand in the Spanish market. In 2016 it started its expansion in Latin America, in Panama, and in 2017 it obtained the license to operate in Colombia. The company has been awarded the Best Operator in the Spanish market in 2019 at the 6th edition of the eGaming2019 Awards.
